Rinosightings: Another Halloween in the neighborhood

((If you didn't put up your costume and candy... I am putting it up for ya))

Another Halloween and more weird kids in my neighborhood, I really have to wonder what the heck is wrong with them.

one of the neighborhood kids came as General Jack Ripper and instead of asking for Candy he said "The only Candy I want is for the campaign commercials to end." I was with him on that but I still gave him some circus peanuts for his troubles.

Another kid came up to my door dressed as the Church Lady wearing a Nancy Pelosi Mask..... he muttered something about Values which made me think he would appreciate some pocket change more then Candy.

The Campbell kid came dressed up as some one from Tech Support raising money for Project Valour-IT so I gave him some money and a candy apple

Another kid came dressed as a roman seer and muttered "Beware of Habeaus Corpus" he ended up with a Milkway dark for his troubles.

Another of the Weird kids came to my door dressed as Ike Turner

As you might imagine, I have been closely watching the Sheikh Taj el-Din al-Hilali case in Australia unfold with bated breath. Not only do the Sheikh and I share many similar views on ho's, he also happens to have one of the most mackdaddyistic names that has ever been.

The kid did such a good Ike Turner impression I thought to give him a cotton swab... but I decided again to give him a blow pop instead

That swiss kid from down the road showed up and He didn't seem to be in a costume so I asked him "What are you little boy?" he replied somewhat creepily "I'm a Death Tourist. we look like everyone else." I felt he deserved a stale old peep I found laying in the fridge.

The Novak kid showed up wearing a white leather appron and leather gloves... but the dirt on her shoes made me think of Yemen and their problematic election. I gave the novak kid a super-jaw breaker and sent her on her way.

A kid came dressed as a Mullah with a little hand puppet looking like the Iranian President he came to me and said "Free your oppressed Candy from Gitmo" we discusssed if the Candy was held as a political prisoner or if it was all a bunch of fluff. I gave him an Almond Joy as he went off whistling "sometimes you feel like a nut..."

Then I got the Kid with the most grusome and intricate costume. He was dressed as a People's Republic of China soldier straight out of the P.L.A. He had in his hand the head of a Tibetan Monk with a bullet hole in the back. He had some kind of pajama's over his shoulder like he arrested some blogger or something. I was going to send him off with a fortune cookie but then I realized he was the kid who came before I was ready dressed up as the New Jersey Supreme Court. So I shooed him off with a free pocket copy of the constitution.

Chief Wahoo came to my door and I was scared, because I thought Baseball was over for the year but it turned out to be that weird Surber Kid again. I asked why he was haunting me with baseball but he said this was the nearest he could get to a "culture warrior" costume. So I subjected him to the worst thing I had.... Cleveland Browns tickets

and then a kid dressed as some horrid nightmarish wraith

"what do you want from me spirit?" I asked mockingly he told me he was the demon which punished Border Patrol Agents for doing their job I gave him some white Chocolate peanutbutter cups and sent him on his way.

And So I end another weird and scary halloween in Rino Sightings land.... so get off my lawn you darned kids

RINO SIGHTINGS: Fathers Day Edition

Today I open up the week with the latest Monday round of RINO Sightings. And I want to open this week's edition up with a dedication to both my father and grand fathers but as a Senior DeMolay to a lot of the “Dad's” who helped form me into the man I am today.

So this is dedicated

Larry Dean Bernard (Father)
Hubert Bernard (Grand Father -Deceased)
James Meeks (Grand Father)
J.G. Kicklighter J.R (Advisor, Chairman of the B.O.A and mentor Deceased)
Earl Collins II (Chapter “Dad” of Sarasota Chapter (Order of DeMolay.)
Donald W. Crowley (Chapter Dad of Jupiter-Tequesta Chapter Order of DeMolay, member of the B.O.A and mentor)
W. Dale Dietzman (man behind J.B.U and much of my masonic and life education)
Al Graulich (Director of knighthood in Florida and a nemesis for many of us, but in a good way.)

Don Surber opens us up with a bit of what pays his bills as a reporter

If the junior senator from Massachusetts truly believes that his judgment was so clouded that he sent thousands of American men and women to their deaths needlessly, then he should do the honorable thing and resign from Congress.

Senators and congressmen who stand by their votes nearly four years later do not have this problem.

But I have a major problem with those who send in 150,000 troops only to abandon the cause in a year (in Murtha's case) or three (in Kerry's case).

Dean Esmay is also on the Victory Boat

Based on statements from Maliki's people, ISF, and U.S. forces, 2007 appears to be the year in which a large proportion of U.S. troops will return home, even if the insurgency continues at present levels. Some U.S. troops will no doubt remain, partly in an advisory/support capacity but also as an implicit guarantee of the sovereignty of Iraq's democratic rulers (no one is going to carry out a coup under the shadow of F-16s carrying laser-guided bombs). Though some will claim we're retreating under fire and point to continuing violence to claim this was no "Mission Accomplished," when the last area of operations is handed over to ISF control, that will in fact constitute U.S. victory.

Richard Bennett digs into Craig's list a intresting part of the internet and some claims that seem at home with the Daily Kos, Democratic underground, or other bastions of nuttiness on the interweb

PS: I did my own inspection of Craig’s List’s TCP packets and found the same thing: their initial ACK advertises a Window Size of 0. By comparison, my blog advertises one of 5792, and so does Technorati.

Craig Newmark’s site is screwed up and he’s blaming Cox for it - and seeking a new law. That’s taking Internet retardation to a whole new level.

I have to say I've liked Craig and found him to be one of the better voices on the internet. But his demagouging issues like this is rather shameful

Orac rolls out a double deuce

the subjects are two of the most bomb throwy conservatives in the buisness.

QUIGLEY/STENDER CALL ON NJ MERCHANTS TO BAN SALE OF 'VICIOUS' COULTER BOOK

Hate-filled Attacks on NJ 9-11 Widows Has No Place on NJ Bookshelves

(TRENTON) - Assemblywomen Joan M. Quigley and Linda Stender today castigated political commentator Ann Coulter for vicious remarks made against four New Jersey September 11th widows in her new book "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."... In response to these incendiary, hate-filled attacks on women who suffered a terrible personal tragedy four-and-a-half years ago and have selflessly advocated to improve national security in the intervening years, the Assemblywomen issued the following statement, denouncing Coulter's attacks and asking New Jersey retailers to ban the sale of her book throughout the state:

Thanks to these two state legislators Ann's book probably has sold anothjer 10,000 copies... Ignore the coulter

Mark at Decision 08 talks about the fact Joementum may be changing the dynamic of the Lieberman senate seat

“My opponent says it broke Democratic unity,” Lieberman said. “Well, dammit, I wasn’t thinking about Democratic unity. It was a moment to put the national interest above partisan interest.”

Sources in Connecticut tell me that momentum in the campaign is mostly with Lamont. Lieberman insists he can win the primary. But he has another option. Connecticut law says that he could run as an independent, but he would have to file 7,500 signatures the day after the primary.

I like Mark's idea. I also think the possibility of a three way senate race and how it will change the 06 dynamics.

Der Commisar opens up with something more Father's day oriented...sports (Even if it is Soccer)

Over on Armies of liberation we have a nice report on how the Government of Yemen seems to try to make the situation in Somalia a little bit better

While I higlighted earlier the good news and progress in Iraq over on Enrevanche my buddy Barry has the Democratic Response (a conservative critique of the war from the NRO)

Digger brings the illegal immigration mess back on the table

Humane Borders received $25,000 in taxpayer funds from Pima Arizona to put up and maintain these water stations in September, 2005. Then Humane Borders went further in January 2006 and decided that it would print full blown maps of the border showing the best routes for illegal aliens to take, border patrol stations and routes and locations of their water stations. This group is actively aiding and abetting illegal aliens. These maps were to be distributed throughout Mexico by the Mexican human rights agency. Mexico later backed down on distributing the maps after public outcry here in America.

KVOA

Mich says vandals have been coming out to the water stations, pulling the caps off the tanks and dumping the water out into the desert.

The volunteers also say vandals are destroying the blue flags that fly atop 30-foot poles in the middle of the desert -- flags the immigrants look for when seeking out a water station on their journeys.

"Flags have been destroyed, and not in this station but in others. They've put bullet holes [the water tanks]," [Paula Mich, a volunteer with Humane Borders] said.

Mich also says each week Humane Borders finds at least one or more of their 70 water tanks vandalized, an act these volunteers say can kill.

This illegal immigration battle is lawlessness on both sides. and that lawlessness can kill

Pigilito goes off on "modern art"

This obscures the point. Namely, that what was meant to act solely as a base and support for an artistic piece was received as art itself. By experts in the field. Neither the artist, nor the writer (in the example) intended their work to be viewed in this way. Usually art requires some degree of training. And it certainly requires the intent to create. In these cases the person who misplaced the sculpture or the printer who lost the final chapter are the "artists." Neither one sought to create anything, they simply made mistakes.

Sadly in Art schools they teach that using skill to make Art isn't art (I saw this based on my Roomate who is an art school grad, his girl friend who has done her time in art school and the numerous beer induced cursing about what the art world has become)

The Unabrewer was ready with the Libertarian charge on Anti-price gouging laws but luckilly Alberto was a Bust

So folks thats the RINO Sightings.... thank your Dad, your Grand Father, and any other Men who may have formed who you are today.

RINO Sightings-May Day Showtrial Edition

Comrades today I am shock to find much Counter-Revolutionary activity in the RINO Party. The following are to be considered highly counter-revolutionary and to be submitted for immediate re-education.

First Up Comrade Campbell is clearly failing to understand the role of western imperialists in manipulating gas prices

Frankly, the sooner gas hits about $7 a gallon, the better off we as a nation will be in the long run. It is my understanding that at around $6 a gallon, a lot of alternative fuel options suddenly start looking extremely cost-effective; there is going to be pain any way we play it, but we might as well try to grow up quickly and get over our extended, spoiled-brat adolescence as a nation... A case of arrested development that was made possible by using nonrenewable sources of cheap energy.

That particular party is over.

Over on Legal Redux more counter-revolutionary activity occurs in the exposure of the corrupt imperialist business interests bribing political So-Called elected officials

The second paragraph is even more disingenuous. Tom DeLay was the House Majority leader, any Republican with a leadership position owes it to DeLay. Should we retire all the folks in leadership positions because of an ongoing investigation with DeLay? Does McCloskey have any evidence of corruption in PomboÂ’s nomination to leadership? Because that might be worth discussing. As his allegation stands now, it is pointless political duplicity.

The fact that Pombo voted with DeLay consistently is a sign of social and fiscal conservatism, not fraud. And House Resolution 5 is a perennial measure dealing with generic ethics rules. PomboÂ’s support for HR5 does not constitute illegal or even grey area activity. It passed easily (224-192).

Comrade Don Surber's focus on alcoholism of others is disturbing and we are focusing him on mental health training to prevent this from leading to further counter-revolutionary activity.

So there you have it. We send a guy out to check on underage drinking. He crashes his state vehicle. He tests positive for alcohol but he beats the rap because he chews tobacco.

Nor is Comrade Surber the only one showing signs of mental illness that could lead to counter-revolutionary thought. JD speaks of beer here, and asks other people to speak of beer.

Over on Kesher Talk unacceptable commentary about the Imperialispropagandada film United 93 is made.

Ron Rosenbaum and Lee Siegal take the Venus approach. This is not to disparage all you girly-girls out there. Venus brings valuable insights to the table. But Venus thinks courage and heroism and stoicism and fighting are dumb, and mess up her makeup too. Venus thinks the story arc is too simplistic, too linear. Typical boy stuff.

Redemptive uplift: It's the official religion of the media, anyway. There must be a silver lining; it's always darkest before the dawn; the human spirit will triumph over evil; there must be a pony.

That's always been the subtextual spiritual narrative of media catastrophe coverage: terrible human tragedy, but something good always can be found in it to affirm faith and hope and make us feel better. Plucky, ordinary human beings find a way to rise above the disaster. Man must prevail. The human spirit is resilient, unconquerable. Did I mention there must be a pony?

9/11 is no different. Flight 93 has become 9/11's pony.

Boys like explosions and car chases. Girls like complicated movies about relationships, which proves they are sophisticated. And if you actually get off on all this heroism stuff, then you are just a dumb jock.

Also these comments express an in-appropriate lack of equality between male and female comrades

Also Comrade Esmay views another film as
propaganda he has clearly embraced the Imperialist Western Agenda.

The SoCal Law Blog fails to attack the decadent Western Buisness for their punishment in their spanking of thproletariatte.

Comrade Hanna demands the Imperialists Disband Fema. Clearly this weakens out ability to execute re-education and is greatly counter-revolutionary

The Donovans have the proper ideology but will be brought up on counter revolutionary matters later

Pigilito speaks up for a clearly superstitious practice of some of the mosdecadentnt capitalist peoples ever.

The Donovans however speak unfavorably of disidents in the Imperialist system of the United States

Classical values is advocating reactionary responses on Immigration issues in the imperialist empire

I myself would never vote for Hillary. But the Republican establishment takes for granted at its peril the significant number of party faithful who may be sorely tempted to do so if the Bush betrayal at the border continues.

Hillary Rodham Buchanan? Don't laugh. She could be the GOP's worst nightmare in '08.

On Armies of liberation they spread counter revolutionary thought as far away from Yemen and Import Yemeni counter revolutionary thought

The Parties have been judged and the sentance is listening to the paragon's of the revolution at Air America.

That is All Comrades
