Keep this in mind about campus Illiberalism

This little nugget from the Sunday times online

The Whitehall dossier, ordered by Tony Blair following last year’s train bombings in Madrid, says: “Extremists are known to target schools and colleges where young people may be very inquisitive but less challenging and more susceptible to extremist reasoning/ arguments.”

Gee I wonder why they may be less challenging and more susceptible to extremist reasoning?

Extreme Leftwing thought dominating universities... noooooo

a lack of any real debate on ideas... such a shocking thought.

Another good word of warning that tells that to much secularism in a university setting is a bad idea

“In addition . . . a significant number come from liberal, non-religious Muslim backgrounds or (are) only converted to Islam in adulthood. These converts include white British nationals and those of West Indian extraction.”

If you don't allow people to feel comfortable being religous, they will have an empty void some one will fill.

Now, I am not going all judge roy moore on you guys. I am just saying we need to find more balance... and Intelligence folks in the UK seem to agree that clearly some folks are imbalanced (duh terrorists).

But the article does give you an idea of whom they try to recruit. People who are in ethnic and religous clubs.

Think about that for a moment. With all the urge for balkanizing and "diversity" take a long thought about that. By making people feel apart from the larger group of being british nationals, it makes them more willing to take a stab at the british nation.

Something we should think about here in the states
