More on the Plame Game

Well Newsweek has revealed some of the Cooper side of the Poor Cooper-Miller escapade and here is the nugget

) Cooper wrote that Rove offered him a "big warning" not to "get too far out on Wilson." Rove told Cooper that Wilson's trip had not been authorized by "DCIA"—CIA Director George Tenet—or Vice President Dick Cheney. Rather, "it was, KR said, wilson's wife, who apparently works at the agency on wmd [weapons of mass destruction] issues who authorized the trip."

#1) Karl Didn't seem to know according to the email she was a covert operative (something which i find questionable still)
#2) He didn't use her name... hardly outting
and
#3) He apperently wasn't 100% sure that Ms. Plame authorized the Junket

If this is indeed the extent of it... Karl Rove committed no crime, case closed.

Furthermore, this was part of an effort to discredit the Wilson statements... not an effort to out valerie plame

So I wonder if all those democrats who complained about the Wasted Whitewater-clinton scandal probes... I wonder if they will own up to this one to being a waste of taxpayer dollars
